Is GoDaddy a good web host? That’s a hard question to answer. It’s ultimately up to you to decide if GoDaddy is right for you. I had an account with GoDaddy for a few years. At the time it worked out fine because I wasn’t doing much more than playing around with different website ideas. After a while it got to the point that I wanted to get serious about creating a website that people would want to visit. I worked hard to get my website just the way I wanted. I installed WordPress and picked out a nice theme, installed a few plugins and started to add some content to my site. After a while I started to get a few visitors coming to my site but nothing big. I started to notice that it would take more than 30 seconds for my website to load. I did everything I could think of to try and speed things up but never was able to get the site running the way I wanted it too. On top of that I wasn’t crazy about their control panel. They created their own custom control panel to save money instead of using the industry standard cPanel. Their control panel just isn’t very intuitive. I felt like I was clicking in circles trying to find what I was looking for. I decided to look at some alternatives to godaddy. I ended up switching hosts and things have improved greatly!

Looking for HostGator Alternative web hosting? First I would ask why? But I do understand that everyone has their own preference. I’m personalty a fan of HostGator as I have hosted several sites with them for many years and have always been impressed with their features and support. However, if you’re still interested in in finding a HostGator alternative then I would suggest looking at GreenGeeks, Bluehost, iPage or FatCow. - Bluehost is a very well known hosting provider that has been around for many years and hosts well over 1,000,000 domains. The currently only offer shared web hosting. However, shared web hosting is all most people every need. If you thought you might need to expand to VPS or dedicated hosting you may want to look at another provider.
- iPage and FatCow are both very similar hosting companies. They have both been around for a long time and offer inexpensive web hosting.
